ICRP Scientific Secretary & CEO Honoured by Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) is proud to announce that its Scientific Secretary & Chief Executive Officer, Christopher Clement, has been awarded a Foreign Minister’s Commendation for FY2025 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

The award recognises Mr Clement’s outstanding contributions to radiological protection in Japan, notably his support in addressing the challenges following the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident, as well as his leadership in ensuring the success of ICRP 2023 in Tokyo.

Christopher is listed under the Individual Commendation No. 52 in the Ministry’s official announcement, which can be viewed here.

ICRP warmly congratulates Christopher on this well-deserved honour and looks forward to celebrating this achievement at the forthcoming official ceremony, to be coordinated with the Embassy of Japan in Canada.
