ICRP is seeking expressions of interest from organisations interested in providing a cost-free staff placement for the position of ICRP Assistant Scientific Secretary to begin in early 2022.
This position, established in 2012, has always been filled through cost-free staff placements (secondments).
Under direct supervision of the Scientific Secretary, and based in the ICRP Scientific Secretariat offices in Ottawa, Canada, Assistant Scientific Secretaries are responsible for duties including:
Incumbents have a unique opportunity to gain insight into the workings of ICRP and the system of radiological protection, and benefit from interactions with ICRP members and other top experts in radiological protection worldwide.
Specific terms will be negotiated, but a minimum period of two years is strongly recommended. The loaning organisation covers salary, benefit, living, and relocation costs, while ICRP provides a welcoming working environment, ICRP business travel costs, and an exceptional and enriching experience.
As this posting is in Canada, candidates other than Canadian citizens or permanent residents must have a Canadian work permit prior to commencing work. ICRP will assist with this process.
