The Commission met briefly to discuss a few matters related to Revision of ICRP Publications and Main Commission TGs.
Report of C4 Working Party on the Implications of Paragraph 52 of ICRP publication 9 – Final decision regarding publication of this report will be taken next year.
Report of Main Commission TG on Dose Limits – Commission members asked the TG to try and assess the loss of life from irradiation and other causes to use as basis for comparison.
The two Main Commission reports were stated by the Commission to be critical for redrafting of ICRP-9. This was determined to be a matter for the Next Commission. It was not expected that no new set of Commission Recommendations would be ready before 1976. Following the revision of both reports, the Commission prepared a statement.
No decision was reached regarding dissemination of Main Commission TG report. Final decision will be made when report is completed.
The Commission was presented updates regarding the work of Committees 1-4 and made the following decisions:
The Commission agreed to the terms of a proposal between ICRP and NEA which would last for one year with possibility of renewal.
