Task Group 92
Terminology and Definitions
Over many years ICRP has published recommendations and guidance on all aspects of protection against ionizing radiation. The terminology and definitions of specific terms used in these publications have evolved, and in some instances have been used inconsistently. This Task Group will review the definitions from Publication 103 onward, selected earlier ICRP Publications, and definitions published by other related organisations, and update/revise ICRP terms and definitions as required. Where there are inconsistencies between terms and definitions within or between reports, these will be resolved.
This Task Group will also advise the Main Commission on how to disseminate the results of the work, and recommend how to deal with glossaries contained in future publications.
