I am a Radiation Protection Scientist at the Cancer Mechanisms and Biomarkers Group at UKHSA with a strong interest in radiation protection. I joinned UKHSA after completing my PhD studies focused on biomarkers of ionizing radiation relevant to carcinogenesis, where I investigated the dose, dose rate and LET dependencies of IR-induced cellular effects. My current research focuses on the influence of circadian rhythm on IR-induced responses, with implications from biological dosimetry to radiation protection, the development of new biological dosimetry approaches, and the investigation of the molecular mechanisms underlying radiation-induced acute myeloid leukaemia.
