Paragraph 153: States that:

DG can be calculated from Ka,e measured at the surface of the phantom with a suitable calibrated detector using standard equations and conversion factors (Dance et al., 2000; IPEM, 2005).


Please note that the standard equations and conversion factors are for Ka,i  and not for Ka,e. To use Ka,e backscatter factors would be required. These are not standard and are not provided in the references cited.


The references provided for the conversion factors are incomplete. Please consider adding the following:-
